🎳 🎞️🪽 ANALOG ANGELS 🪽🎞️ 🎳

AFCOOP staff played in Screen Nova Scotia’s bowling tournament last Friday! It’s not important where we placed on the score board, what’s important is that we had the most swag and fun. Cody probably would have won for most hot dogs eaten if that was being evaluated ✨ maybe next year 🤞🌭

Big thanks to Screen NS for organizing another amazing event!

FILM 5 2026: SHIRT! SNEAK PEEK

It is that beautiful time of year when the crocuses emerge and the Film 5 teams get to apply all their skills after months of preparation by going to picture on their projects!

The first Film 5 of the season shot over the weekend. Congratulations to director, Mel Hennigar and producer, Ellie Rideout on their successful shoot that we suspect might have brought snow back (Ellie, how did you coordinate that?).

Next up is HOLIDAY, directed by Dustin Harvey and produced by Halley Roback, going to picture April 11-12.

AFCOOP SPRING GENERAL MEETING ON APRIL 21st

Mark your calendars - AFCOOP’s next general meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 21st at 6:30pm.

As an Industry Partner, AFCOOP has the ability to recommend one Talent to Watch project under the following components: the Main component, the Indigenous component and the Official Language Minority Community (OLMC) component.

This national program supports emerging filmmakers with producing their first feature films (narrative or documentary) by providing funding and mentorship support throughout the process.

Teams nominated by AFCOOP will then re-apply to Telefilm to be considered in the national competition.
The deadline to apply for consideration of a nomination from AFCOOP is extended to Monday, April 6th, 2026 by 11:59 PM AST.

Our guidelines for the application are now live. Please see here.

Deadline is this Monday.
